My purpose for this site is to share interesting things with people who know me without having to burden you with endless piles of email. It’s not my purpose to have a collection of cool videos from YouTube. However, these days that seems to be where I’m finding all the cool stuff to share. So here is one more.

How to ask skeptical questions

While this man is clearly on the other side of the fence from me with regard to a few of his “facts”, he does present what at first blush seems to like a reasonable set of questions?

While I think I agree with what he is getting at, I find it amusing how many of his questions (and statements) contradict each other. I’ll break one of his rules also and leave pointing them out as an exercise for the reader.

Judge Roy Moore

I recieved an e-mail this morning about Mr. Moore. He is a judge in Alabama who was sued by the ACLU for refusing to remove the Ten Commandments that were hung in his court room foyer. After he was removed from office he wrote the following poem:

America the beautiful,

or so you used to be.

Land of the Pilgrim’s pride;

I’m glad they’ll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,

Abortion on demand,

Oh, sweet land of liberty,

your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly

poisoned be cocaine

choosing to induldge their lusts,

when GOD has said abstain.

From sea to shining sea,

our Nation turns away

From the teachings of GOD’s love

and a need to always pray.

We’ve kept GOD in our temples,

how callous we have grown.

When earth is but His footstool,

and Heaven is His throne.

We’ve voted in a goverment

that’s rotteing at the core,

Appointing GODless Judges;

who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer

in a well deserved tomb,

but brave enough to kill a baby

before he leaves the womb.

You think that GOD’s not angry

that our lands a moral slum?

How much longer will He wait

before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our GOD

from who we cannot hide?

What then is left for us to do,

but stem this evil tide?

If we who are his children,

will humbly turn and pray;

Seek His holly face

and mend our  evil way:

Then GOD will hear from Heaven;

and forgive us of our sins,

He’ll heal our sickly land

and those who  live within.

But, America the beautiful,

If you don’t then you will see,

A sad but Holy GOD

withdraw His hand from Thee.

~~Judge Roy Moore~~

I humbly ask for prayer for him, please bless him as you go about your day.

Your sister in CHRIST

Hi! A few years ago, I found an interesting game. It’s basically a sledder that slides over any line you write. It’s really simple and doesn’t take too long to have fun with. Here it is: http://linerider.com/play-line-rider-online

Lotsa Change

Today Dad decided to take a 3-gallon bucket half filled with coins to First Tech. When he put it on the counter the banker said”Wow thats a lot of change!!!!”. Turns out there were 2,838 pennies, 766 nickels, 1,376 dimes, 1,556 quaters, and 1 half dollar. That comes to a total of $593.78 . Which is almost $600. I think it’s safe to say we had a fortune right under our noses and after about five years we finnaly realized it.

Blue Dragon

Hello again! This time, I’m posting about one of my favorite movie series, Blue Dragon. This series is about six adventurous youths, on a quest to stop their nemesis, Lord Nene, ruler of the Gran Kingdom(yes, I know, but that’s how it’s spelled) and intent on controlling the world. As the group travels from village to village, past stopping at the defeat of Nene, they find new friends and learn how to control and strengthen their ultimate weapon, shadows. From simple villages to flying fortresses, this is truly an unforgettable adventure.

Warriors the Power of Three

I’m new at this so go easy on me.

For my birth day I got a series called The Power of Three. It’s a story about three young, recently aprenticed, cats called Jaypaw, Hollypaw, and Lionpaw. After the Clans travel to the lake, three cats are born to Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw. These cats hold all the power of the Clans combined. From chasing foxes as kits to traveling to the mountains, all the way to arguing over skills; these cats get in and out of trouble every where they go. This is a truly interesting series that I would suggest for any animal or action loving person. These are so good I can’t get my nose out of them.

See ya!!

   Hi everyone! I’m new at this, but I have to start someday, so here goes.

   A while back, I was trying to find a level designer for New Super Mario Bros. for DS. I didn’t find it, but I did find a sweet Mario and Luigi game and level editor.

   It has a pretty good 1-player story mode, but the best part is the level editor. The fun part about it is the near-unlimited different levels you can make, but it’s also cool because of the drag-and-drop level designing process. I’ve made two interesting levels, and dozens are being shared on the Internet. Please try it! ‘Bye!

Mnemonic

SeanK — Monday, January 12th, 2009 @ 2:35 pm

When I was in school I learned a mnemonic for remembering the digits in Pi. Simply count the number of the letters in each word of the phrase:

“Yes, I shot a moose yesterday as George drove”

When you do this you get 3.14159265

Late last year, my daughter came to work with me and for fun she worked on extending it out to the following phrase:

“Yes, I shot a moose yesterday as George drove you crazy insanely bantering because Elisabeth had to say brothers need wisdom to vacuum your rug and remember not to reserve uncovered pizza.”

This gives you the much more impressive 3.1415926535897932384626433832795

Unfortunately, we had to stop there as the next digit in Pi is 0.
